Our Sustainability Actions
We are taking a close look at all areas of our business when thinking about our environmental impact including our supply chain. The threat of climate change is growing, and this impacts our clients, employees, investors and community as a whole.
One recent initiative is partnering with CarbonInvoice to take Carbon Action. CarbonInvoice allows us to accurately measure our carbon intensity using real data, take action by funding the planting of native trees, and communicate and engage our community, including clients like you.
Progress & forecast. We have recently started our journey of funding native trees, and to date, we’ve successfully funded 140 trees. We are forecast to fund 110.75 trees in the next 12 months. This is real tangible action that’s starting making a difference immediately.
Measure. CarbonInvoice measures our carbon intensity across our entire business. This includes all of our emissions (staff, commuting, electricity and fuel etc.) and all of our indirect emissions through the suppliers we use. This is done using Australian / New Zealand industry-standard Emissions Factors that have been developed by academics and government, and in alignment with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory, measuring all Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
Fund. Once measured, CarbonInvoice then helps us plant native trees to mitigate the carbon cost as we do business. Every time we invoice a client, CarbonInvoice calculates the carbon cost and we fund the planting of native trees to sequester the carbon from this project.
Communicate. The software also automatically adds this carbon cost information to invoices we send to communicate to the client the project’s carbon intensity, and what we are doing about it on our shared behalf.
Engage. This enables us to have an immediate impact on the planet and to involve our clients on the journey. Every time we engage with our clients, we can have a conversation about doing positive business together. This has been driven by our clients who are asking for it, and our team who are motivated and excited to be doing good.
